The entertainment industry was one of the few sectors that saw growth even during a plagued pandemic in 2020. And in that segment, it is the OTT platform that audiences flocked to when they came under fire. inside during the lockdown led by Covid-19. The series is called "Bombay Begums" and it is already generating interest around its posters. Directors: Alankrita Shrivastava, Bornila Chatterjee Actors: Pooja Bhatt, Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash. Platform: Netflix Release Date: Unannounced Synopsis: The series tells the stories of five women from different generations as they struggle against social ethics, their own ambitions and personal crises. Set in contemporary urban India, the stories specifically define how Indian cinema has always been about men with women only trying out supporting roles. This series seeks to reverse the narrative by not synchronizing the stories of men with women. The obvious talking point of this series scheduled for release on Zee5 is Amit Sadh, whose energetic performance as a special forces officer in Sony's “Avrodh” captured our collective imagination last year.
