Dead by Daylight's Next Killer Has Been Revealed, And That's A No From Me

The next chapter of Dead by Daylight has been revealed, adding a new licensed killer and survivor to the survival horror game in March.

Released on March 8, Dead by Daylight's Sadko Rising chapter is inspired by Kōji Suzuki's novel Ringu and its cult film adaptation, and sees the terrifying Sadako (known in-game as The Onryō), rising from her well and in the fog.

Sadako was Ringu's main antagonist, known for her long black hair covering her face, her white dress, and her ability to use videotapes and televisions to trigger her Killing Curse.

In Dead by Daylight, Sadako will be just as annoying, if not more so. Sadako's abilities will see her spread her curse on survivors, moving between the psychic realm (where she is invisible within 32 meters of survivors) and the real world and using her manifestation ability to attack. Unsurprisingly, Sadako will also be able to use Projection to project herself through TVs all over the map, adding Doomed scaling to all survivors within 16 yards; once a survivor is fully Doomed, she can be killed once hit. However, survivors will be able to turn off these televisions if they have a videotape.

But isn't Sadako the only new character in Dead by Daylight in this chapter? And who better to face him than Yoichi Asakawa, the only Ringu character to survive Sadko's curse.

Opinion: absolutely not

Sadako is currently available in the public test version of Dead by Daylight and from what I've seen in the streams so far, she seems to be one of the most disturbing slayers to date with her dirty fingernails, hidden face, and skill. simply disappear into the psychic. Kingdom. And don't even get me started on the TV escalation of her, because I had a lot of sleepless nights as a teenager after first watching Ringu. It also appears that developer Behavior Interactive has issued some alerts for Sadako, but we won't spoil them for you.

Sadako joins a list of authorized killers from Dead by Daylight that includes Ghostface from Scream, Michael Myers from Halloween, and Pyramid Head from Silent Hill. Sadly, these characters cannot be purchased with Iridescent Shards, the in-game currency earned by Dead by Daylight. So you'll have to pay out of pocket if you want to scare the survivors into never watching TV again.
