It's been a phenomenal year for video games, making it difficult to pick the best games of 2020. The launch of the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S consoles have also added to a host of other riches for gamers to enjoy, offering all-new versions that harness the power of next-generation systems and unique capabilities. The new consoles have also breathed new life into old titles with backwards compatibility and free next-gen upgrades. So we've been pretty spoiled as gamers, but still managed to narrow down the best games of 2020 that you might have missed or just want to check out into a short list. Of course, we can't include everything here, but these titles were particularly praised by the TechRadar team. From emotional roller coasters to immersive virtual worlds to wonderful everyday distractions, these are the best games of 2020.
