TCL Unveils Five New Budget Phones With Huge Batteries And Impressive Cameras

One of the first brands to show off new smartphones at the annual MWC 2022 smartphone conference is TCL, which has launched not one, not two, but five new budget phones in its numbered series.

This is the TCL 30 series, and it's not even all of it, as we saw the first two members in January and there are likely to be more soon. All of these phones are quite similar, but most have distinctive features that set them apart from each other.

It's also not the only technology TCL showed off at MWC; in fact, it inundated us with gadgets, like a selection of tablets, audio devices, and smart glasses. However, most of them, like the Nxtwear Air smart glasses or the Nxtpaper E-Ink tablet, we have already seen at technical fairs.

But you're here for the smartphones, so let's do it now.

How are these TCL phones?

These are five very, very similar smartphones, and each one was clearly built from the same model with just a few tweaks here and there. You can see the full specs below.

The phones aren't much different either, as the image at the top of this article no doubt suggests.

Things to note about these phones include the fact that they all have pretty massive batteries and they all use 50MP primary cameras with a pretty big sensor size; this will probably make them great for low light photography.

One thing to note is that we don't have regional pricing at the moment, so we don't know how much each will cost or, more importantly, how they compare to each other.

That said, it seems that the TCL 30 E is the lower end model, and the 30 Plus or 30 5G will end up being the most expensive.

However, you probably don't have to make the difficult decision of choosing just one to buy; We expect only a few of this lineup to launch in each region, depending on the market. TCL sells its phones in most parts of the world, including the US, Australia, and Europe, so chances are you'll be able to get your hands on at least one.
