Tencent Games launched the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020 tournament with a prize pool of Rs 50 lakh. Registration for the esports competition begins today and will continue through May 17. Interested players can register for the tournament via this link. This is the second edition of the tournament. The first one, which took place in 2019, was a huge success and recorded a massive audience of 50 million people. Since the lockdown is still in progress, this number should only increase.

Each team will play 15 games of which "10 best games will be taken into account for the qualification", suggests the official blog. If a team is successful in this phase, the next step will be the online qualifications where 256 teams will compete. Among these, 8 teams will receive direct information from the qualifiers involved, who will play 2 matches in groups of 16 and the top 3 teams with the best cumulative score in each group will qualify for the quarterfinals. For the quarterfinals, there will be 64 teams. 56 qualified teams from online qualifications and 8 new invited teams will compete in 4 groups over 4 days to advance to the semi-finals. Among these, the 32 best teams will qualify for the semifinals and 16 for the finals.
