Monday.com workdocs is like Google Docs on steroids

Work management company Monday.com has launched a new online collaboration software solution called workdocs that aims to give Google Docs a run for its money. Instead of switching employees between your platform and other office software, workdocs integrates directly into Monday.com's project management software. It's also available to all company users, including those on their free plan, though they're limited to a maximum of two users. Although similar to Salesforce's Quip, workdocs is a more comprehensive offering that doesn't hide any of its features behind an additional subscription. The ability to edit documents live in workdocs is included with a user's subscription to Monday.com, but to be able to do so in Quip requires upgrading to a Salesforce Anywhere Advanced plan which costs $100 per user per month. While workdocs is already integrated with Monday.com's Work operating system, the company plans to add integrations for other popular software from Salesforce, Microsoft, and Google in the future.

Work documents

Workdocs uses Monday.com's new real-time engine that the company built into its Work OS operating system and allows hundreds of people to work on the same document simultaneously. Workdocs allows Monday.com users to create shared work documents viewable by other team members, private work documents viewable only to themselves or other invited users, and shareable work documents when available. Other team members and even those outside your organization can be added to a document. While workdoc users can enter text and see what others are working on at the same time, it's worth noting that its undo function only cancels a user's work rather than recent additions to a document. Even though workdocs has just launched, there are already over thirty widgets available for the service, including calendar, chart, clock, inbox, list view, Gantt, to-dos, and more. Like the working papers, these widgets work in real time and when a task is updated on Monday.com, they are updated as well. Current Monday.com users can log into the company's platform to view the working papers themselves, while interested users can view this new video that provides additional details about the service.
