Lenovo released one of the lightest Linux laptops ever, and it's a ThinkPad

Lenovo has released a new ThinkPad model that takes the popular X1 case and shrinks it down even further. The result is the 1-inch ThinkPad X13 Nano, which weighs just 962g, making it one of the lightest business laptops on the market today. Inside is a Tiger Lake processor with Iris X graphics, up to 16GB of LPDDR4X memory, up to 1TB of PCIe SSD, a 48Wh battery that can power you for up to 17,3 hours, four speakers and four microphones, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Regarding connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are added to the optional 5G.

Lenovo adopted a 16-inch 10:13 display for the Nano, offering a 2K resolution of 2160 x 1350 pixels, which is 40% more pixels than a Full HD display. It's Dolby Vision certified, optional touchscreen capable, 100% sRGB coverage, and pretty bright at 450 nits. Surprisingly, it runs Windows 10 Pro or Linux (Ubuntu) but the option of Windows 10 Home is not offered. Also noteworthy is the Human Presence webcam that allows contactless connection, as if by magic, thanks to AI and facial recognition. We expect the device to go on sale in December with a starting price of €1,599. Lenovo also announced the general availability of its revolutionary ThinkPad X1 Fold, the world's first foldable PC, which shares many commonalities with the ThinkPad X1 Nano, including being a member of Intel's Project Athena innovation program.
