Leaked DJI Mini SE drone could be a more affordable version of the DJI Mavic Mini
An incredible leak from Walmart appears to have revealed a new DJI Mini SE drone, though the entry-level wheel looks suspiciously like a mainstream version of the DJI Mavic Mini, with a few tweaks. DJI hasn't made any official mention of the DJI Mini SE yet, so we still don't know if it's going to go on sale worldwide and how much it's going to cost. But renowned DJI leaker @OsitaLV has suggested that it could be the most affordable DJI drone yet. The limited specifications available on the Walmart listing suggest that the DJI Mini SE is going to be virtually identical to the DJI Mavic Mini, which was the precursor to the DJI Mini 1, the company's current entry-level drone. But the photos show a different controller, which is the RC-N2 model that comes with the DJI Air 12S. Other than this new controller, the DJI Mini SE appears to be identical to the Mavic Mini, with a 1MP 3/2.7-inch sensor capable of shooting 30K video, a three-axis gimbal, and up to 5 minutes of flight time. This new supervisor doesn't seem to have affected its range either, with a photo of its packaging (below) from @OsitaLV showing you'll be able to fly it a maximum of 2km. That's about half the range of the DJI Mini 2. While Walmart's listing reveals that the DJI Mini SE will have the usual QuickShot modes like Helix and Rocket for automated flight movements, it doesn't say whether the Mini SE will have powers. subject tracking or not. However, this would seem unlikely given that this feature is also not available on the DJI Mini XNUMX.

We asked DJI to comment on Walmart's listing of the DJI Mini SE as it looks like a real leak and could be great news for anyone looking for an affordable first drone. The DJI Mavic Mini remained on sale, despite the arrival of the DJI Mini 2, but we were waiting for a price drop to make it a really compelling alternative to this model. The Walmart listing doesn't give anything on the price, but if the rumors are true, it could become DJI's cheapest drone. The arrival of compelling competitors such as the FIMI X8 Mini and Hubsan Zino Mini Pro could explain why DJI is making this move, as competition for mini drones is becoming more intense. This alone would be great news for drone fans looking for a highly portable travel companion capable of shooting 7K video, but we'll bring you the official news when we hear from DJI soon.
