Launch of New Lenovo ThinkPad Notebooks with XNUMXth Gen Intel Processors

The launch of the XNUMXth generation Intel chips has seen many device manufacturers release updated versions of their most popular laptops. Lenovo is now following suit with the launch of new ThinkPads that will integrate the chip giant's latest processors.

However, in terms of design, these new laptops are quite similar to the company's previous models, albeit with better specs and an Athena Sport Athena sports label, meaning they will guarantee a battery life of at least nine. hours.

The new 1th Gen ThinkPad X5 Carbon will feature Comet Lake 7th Gen Intel chips with options for a Core i7, Core iXNUMX, and even a Core iXNUMX hexacore processor. The device is also part of the laptops that will carry the Project Intel Athena label, which will likely appeal to power users who want to get more work done on a single charge.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga also receives a similar update and the device will now include a 10th Gen Core i5 or i7 processor. Unlike the X1 Carbon, it won't receive Intel's Athena project label, and for the most part, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga retains the design of its predecessor.

Refreshing the ThinkPad

Lenovo also announced that the ThinkPad T490 and X390 would also receive new chips with the option of a Core i5 or Core i7 processor. Like the rest of the devices announced by the company, these two laptops will feature a design similar to that of their predecessors.

The two devices receiving the biggest update are Lenovo's ThinkPad L13 and L13 Yoga. The new models are an upgrade from the previous L390 model and the devices will now offer a slimmer and lighter design. Lenovo has also reworked the ThinkPad L13 and L13 Yoga with brighter displays, smaller bezels, built-in protection for the "ThinkShutter" webcam, and an optional available Windows Hello infrared camera.

Users will even have the option to equip their yoga L13 or L13 with Intel 10th Gen chips. However, less powerful and less expensive chips will also be available, such as Intel Celeron processors.

Each new generation of processors does not necessarily require a redesign of the design and Lenovo has delivered a range of new peripherals with updated processors, incorporating the design and form factor already expected from a ThinkPad.
