Following the disastrous launch of Anthem and Mass Effect: Andromeda, gamers are hoping BioWare's Dragon Age 4 will be a comeback for the embattled studio. Despite the relative silence since the game was shown off again at the EA Play Live 2020 event, BioWare executive producer Mark Darrah confirmed that Dragon Age 4 is still in development in the following tweet. Covid-19 has obviously had an impact on the studio's ability to be as efficient as it would like, but Darrah is making it clear that progress is slowly being made, even though working from home is more difficult than expected.

An eternal wait
It's hard to believe now, but it's been about six years since we've had a new Dragon Age game, in the form of 2014's Dragon Age: Inquisition. It was arguably the last good game from BioWare. also, because Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem that followed failed to meet the high standards the studio usually holds, riddled with bugs for the previous title and a weak ending for the Anthem of Fate. -bait. But the wait for Dragon Age 4 has been long and tedious. Rumors have been circulating that the sequel's development cycle has been shaken up, bouncing around concepts ranging from a 'live game' experience to what should now be a more traditional RPG title. In terms of official announcements since the game was first revealed in late 2018, all we've gotten are some render images from EA's EA E3 2020, EA Play.
