Fans of Japanese RPGs may want to look to Mistwalker for their next fix. The studio teased its upcoming game on Twitter and generated positive buzz among JRPG gamers. Called Fantasian, the game garnered attention through its use of 3D dioramas as game environments. It looks absolutely stunning, but Fantasian may not be all about style rather than substance. After all, veteran studio Mistwalker is developing the game. Comprised of Final Fantasy alumni, including series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, the studio has previously developed games like The Last Story and Lost Odyssey. Twitter users drew attention to the fascinating design of the game environment with eye-catching tweets.

From the pixelated goodness of Octopath Traveler to the hand-drawn backgrounds of Bravely Default 2, Fantasian seems to easily appeal to fans of these games.
