Exclusive plans from Forspoken's Square Enix Tokyo game show for PS5

Square Enix has detailed its full schedule for this year's Tokyo Game Show and includes new skins from some of its most anticipated titles, including Forspoken, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. The full schedule spans three full days, from October 1-3, with Square Enix's main presentation taking place on October 1 at 7pm JST / 11am BST / 3am PST. After that, there will be live streams focusing on individual titles, presumably for deeper dives. The PS5 exclusive Forspoken will launch for the first time with its own stream later on October 1, while others like Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will take the stage on October 2. Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier will conclude on October 3. There are even a few more special events scattered between streams, including a Square Enix music special and a live jazz painting that we'll probably be listening to because how could we not. We had our last update on Forspoken not too long ago, during the PlayStation Showcase in September. While Square Enix stopped short of detailing what additional information we can expect to see about the game when it launches, we're expecting more gameplay footage and perhaps even a more restricted release date. Square Enix's full schedule can be found below along with the relevant YouTube feeds linked for quick access:

As for the rest of the Tokyo Game Show, it's already been confirmed that there will be streams from other big names like Xbox, Ubisoft, Capcom, and Konami between September 30 and October 3. However, it's worth tempering expectations for Xbox Showcase, as in an Xbox Wire article, Xbox Asia Director Jeremy Hinton has confirmed that Xbox Stream will be a community event rather than a showcase announcement, without " new global debuts" but plenty of "regionally relevant updates on games previously announced later this year.

Analysis: final fantasies

So Square Enix is a pretty solid performer for this year's Tokyo Game Show. But despite the sheer number of Final Fantasy broadcasts on this show, there are still some glaring holes in the way of Final Fantasy, with Final Fantasy 16 being one of them and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 being another. Well, it may not come as a huge surprise that these games don't seem to be present at TGS this year. Square Enix will likely try to focus on its titles coming out later this year and early next year. Considering that Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy 7 Part 2 don't have a release date, but it's safe to say that they will arrive a bit later. It wasn't until earlier this year that Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida expressed doubts about the Tokyo Game Show deadline, saying the development team would prefer to show the game closer to release rather than provide information to the fans. for a long period of time.
