YouTube Originals will be available soon for free streaming.

YouTube Opens the Floodgates to its Originals Show Library: From now on, you'll be able to watch popular free shows like Cobra Kai, Lazer Team, and Liza on Demand with commercials. Previously, YouTube Originals were stuck behind a paywall and available to YouTube Premium and YouTube TV subscribers, but that's about to change. That being said, there are two caveats: the first is that not all programs will be freely available for free, and they won't stay around indefinitely. (Basically, streams can go from paid to free at any time, so you need to move quickly.) The other drawback is that the programs will have interstitial ads similar to those found in longer YouTube videos. The goal of this change in strategy is to give advertisers prime placement (think prime-time programming on traditional cable) that could be used to promote programming that may not have much of a "spot" on it. s audience.

... Is this how it will be on YouTube?

Pretty good, yes. According to a YouTube blog post explaining the changes, many of these shows will soon be available for free streaming, and this will include the third season of its flagship show, Cobra Kai. Of course, these shows will now compete with YouTube's 400 hours of content every minute on the site, but if YouTube wants to take a serious look at its premium content offering, it's a good way to start. Still skeptical? Take a look at the recap of the first season of Cobra Kai below.
