Update: Since posting, we've heard from another 10 UK customers who are receiving their Galaxy Z Fold 3 phones earlier than originally expected. We've also heard from a reader who has a Z Flip 3, but haven't heard from anyone in other markets yet. The release date of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is set for August 27, but some lucky customers who have pre-ordered see the phone arrive a week early. A TechRadar reader in the UK showed us his phone that already arrived with him on August 20, and others on Samsung's official forum are also saying that the smartphone is showing up on their doorstep. A community manager on Samsung's forum said: "We know people are eager to get their hands on their Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3, so we started shipping them early." TechRadar has asked Samsung to comment on why the release date was pushed up for some and where it's relevant, but we've yet to hear back from the company. There's no guarantee that's the case for everyone, but it seems that some of those who have pre-ordered are enjoying the benefit of receiving their phones sooner. It's also unclear exactly where the phone is shipping before. TechRadar's player is based in the UK and no locations have been provided by those on the forum, so it's hard to say if it's limited to certain markets. In our research for this story, we were unable to see any forums or social media posts from people who received their Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 earlier.
