The long-awaited Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 has launched for the UK, so if you've been itching to try out the new budget fitness tracker (which we originally thought was called the Mi Band 5), you can do so now. After being announced at a global launch event, you can now buy the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 on Xiaomi's website - there's no pre-order period and you can order it right away. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 is priced at €39.99, or €5 more than the released Mi Band 4, and this older band is available for less now, though it lacks many of the Band 5's features. While the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 is advertised in a variety of colours, only one version is available on the Xiaomi UK website – black. It's unclear if more versions will be offered later, or if different colored bands will be sold at some point. We haven't tested the Mi Smart Band 5, so we don't know if it will be a renaissance for cheap fitness trackers or just a pretty good bunch that some fitness fanatics should consider.
