Secret availability of Xbox Series X in the Microsoft Store
- Next Xbox Series X restock date at Microsoft: Afternoon, usually Sunday or Thursday
- Microsoft Xbox Series X Last Restock Date: Thursday, July 29 at 6:05 pm EDT
- Microsoft has diverted stock of Xbox consoles to its Xbox Insiders program
- Beta testers (new dashboards) get access with console purchase
- This requires turning on your Xbox One console
Microsoft has blacked out Thursdays on its restock date, though it also blocked 11:59 p.m. on Sunday night. Although he had a restock for a few minutes (maybe a full three minutes) on Thursday, July 29 at 6:05 p.m. EDT, he diverted his Xbox stock from his own retail store to a new pilot program. The Xbox Insiders Xbox Series X upgrade plan, first discovered by Bradon Hofer, is actually a great incentive for people who want to test the beta version of dashboard settings and other updates to the game system that Microsoft is making. developing for their consoles. And if you're stuck trying things out on an old Xbox One and want to upgrade to the new Xbox Series X, you really should be first in line.
Notice: You'll need to turn on your old Xbox One console to log into that particular Xbox Insiders menu. You can access it online and you can't find the menu on an Xbox Series X either. This prevents Xbox Series X owners from ordering a second console from their new system.

Xbox Series X Goal Replenishment: Daily Online Locally
- Target Xbox restocking is available locally now almost every morning
- Only a few zip codes have the Xbox Series X for sale, and only a few consoles on that
- This is very different from previous Xbox Series X national restocks.
Every weekday morning and sometimes Saturday
Objective has the Xbox Series X in stock at random stores to buy online (no, you can't buy the Xbox in stores in the US right now). The problem is that it's hard to issue Twitter alerts when it's usually select stores in a city and there are only five consoles as part of the Xbox restock. Target has moved from a nationwide restock date to a local Xbox Series X deal (again to buy online only in stores) and Xbox consoles are on sale as they arrive each morning.

Xbox All-Access is usually a silent replenishment
- Walmart and GameStop had the Xbox Series X in stock through All Access for weeks and no one noticed
- Pay-as-you-go program connects you to a 24-month contract
Stores like Walmart and GameStop often restock the Xbox Series X through the Xbox All Access plan, which works much like a smartphone plan. You pay for the console over time, but you're also enrolled in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which is actually something you should consider buying with an Xbox anyway). After 24 months, you'll save a few bucks with this Xbox Series X plan, but you'll be forced to pay for it for two years.
(Image credit: Matt Swider/Twitter) Xbox Series X restock news continues to be a mixed bag. The console is available for restock, but retailers in the US haven't put the new Xbox on sale except for a few restock dates in late June and the first half of July. Demand has fallen, but so has supply. At first, it might be hard to buy the Xbox Series X once things stabilize again (as demand picks up), but as soon as those pent-up needs are met, it's back in stock, according to our analysis.
Amazon Xbox Series X Restocking
Believe it or not, Amazon hasn't had an Xbox Series X restock since Prime Day in late June. This means the online retailer is also late getting the Xbox on sale, and many of its customers will be clamoring for the chance to buy it due to all the pent-up demand. It will be chaotic to say the least. Something Amazon has done overseas with restocking is limited sales to Prime customers. This would overcome the many problems Amazon (and also Walmart) have with scalpers taking over all consoles using bots. So far, Prime-only restock events have not taken place in the United States.
