In very good news, Microsoft's backwards compatibility and cloud gaming efforts are getting in sync. Today, Microsoft announced that 16 backward-compatible Xbox and Xbox 360 games will join Xbox Cloud Gaming, including a host of fan-favorite titles like Fable II, Perfect Dark Zero, and three Gears of War games. If you're tired of waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6 to release, you can also go back to the days of Oblivion. This comes shortly after several Bethesda games were added to Xbox Game Pass, with Bethesda Softworks now part of Xbox's roster of development studios, making all the added Elder Scrolls III and IV games more understandable. . Microsoft has really led the way with backwards compatibility on the last generation of consoles, and now it shows no sign of changing track. But what's most exciting is the way Microsoft is connecting its various services, bringing cloud gaming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a bundled subscription service that also includes Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. Adding these backward compatible titles makes it easier to access classic games from the first two generations of Xbox consoles, and we can only hope to see more in the future.
