Like most CAT smartphones, the S60 also focuses on ruggedness. It comes with the MIL-STD 810G military durability rating, which is unaffected by extreme temperatures ranging from -25 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius. Plus, it can withstand drops of up to 6 feet.

In addition to its power, the CAT S60 is distinguished by its FLIR Lepton thermal micro camera module with 13MP sensor and dual LED flash on the back. For those who don't know, FLIR is the world leader in thermal imaging technologies. On the front, it has a 5MP camera for video calls and selfies.

According to the company, the thermal camera would help users detect heat loss in their surroundings. In fact, it visualizes a heat that cannot be seen with the naked eye. It can also capture heat and measure surface temperature up to a distance of 30 meters, and even see through objects such as smoke.

The CAT S60 is IP68 certified, making it waterproof to a depth of 5 meters for one hour. Not only water, but the smartphone is also corrosion and shock resistant. Besides everything, it also has a dedicated SOS button which, when pressed, sends your location details to selected contacts.

On the physical side, it has a 4.7-inch HD screen (1280 x 720p). It is powered by a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a juicy 3800 mAh battery.

The CAT S60 will be available from March 17 at a price of Rs. 64,999. It will be available on major offline channels and on Amazon India for online shoppers.
