On Monday, El Salvador's Finance Minister Alejandro Zelaya said the bitcoin losses posed an "extremely minimal" risk to his country, noting that the amount adds up to less than 0.5% of the government's budget. He also stated that any loss for now is intangible because the country has not yet demonstrated the sale of any of its cryptocurrencies.
