Why you should expect a Black Friday sale for PlayStation Plus

While you'll find other PlayStation Plus discounts throughout the year, sometimes at prices as competitive as those we see during Black Friday, this is the only time you can truly guarantee the price will drop. Here's the kicker: In addition to a huge discount, if you buy a 12-month PS Plus membership, you don't have to worry about renewing it for a whole year. And, by the time the renewal expires, it's Black Friday again, and you can take advantage of another 12-month offer. It's a brilliant strategy. If you have to renew mid-year and end up paying full price, that's not ideal, especially when a little planning saves you money. PS Plus subscriptions also stack, which means you can buy three years' worth, trade them all in without breaking a sweat buying an extra 12 months of PS Plus until 2024. It's not clear if there is. You do have a cap on how you can accumulate subscriptions: but that protects you against possible price hikes that Sony could roll out in the coming years. We highly recommend you get a 12 month membership rather than a three month membership as we have found this to be the best value for money. Also, if you buy a three-month subscription during Black Friday, it will expire at the end of February 2022, when there's usually no sale.
