Where have we seen Bo-Katan Kryze before?
Bo-Katan Kryze first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4, when Republic leaders and Separatists held peace talks on Mandalore - the planet was chosen for its position. neutral in conflict. Why is Bo-Katan Kryze taking off his helmet, even though it is forbidden to Mandalorians?
Throughout The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Bo-Katan Kryze and other Mandalorians rarely hesitated to remove their helmets. Instead, it's Din Djarin, aka Mando, who is the outlier. On the moon in the Trask Firth, Bo-Katan tells Djarin that he is a "son of the guard", a member of a group of religious fanatics who broke away from Mandalorian society, wishing to restore a more traditional life. How did Bo-Katan Kryze fit into the Clone Wars?
Although her sister, Duchess Satine Kryze (Obi-Wan Kenobi's ex-girlfriend), was Mandalore's peace leader when the negotiations between the Republic and the Separatists took place, Bo-Katan had chosen a very different path. As the leader of the Nite Owls (an elite unit of female warriors, whose insignia Bo-Katan wears on her helmet), Bo-Katan had come into contact with the militant Death Watch. Led by Pre Vizsla (voiced by Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau), the Death Watch fought to overthrow Satine in order to restore the planet's militaristic ways. They were then driven from Mandalore. Death Watch eventually met Maul and his brother, Savage Opress, and joined forces with the Darksiders, in an effort to "liberate" Mandalore. Maul then recruited crime syndicates for his "Shadow Collective", though Vizsla told Bo-Katan that he intended to turn on Maul when he won Mandalore. When Death Watch took control of the planet, Maul seized the throne and killed Vizsla. Bo-Katan refused to accept his rule and saved Satine from her imprisonment. Obi-Wan came to Mandalore to help, but was captured along with Satine. When Satine was killed by Maul, Bo-Katan helped Obi-Wan escape and began gathering information on Maul. Some time later, he tracked down Ahsoka Tano and asked for her help in kidnapping Maul. They called out to Obi-Wan, asking the Republic forces to move in and capture Maul. The Clone Troopers came to his aid and were ultimately victorious, imprisoning Maul. Bo-Katan has been appointed regent of Mandalore.
What happened to Bo-Katan Kryze after the Clone Wars?
When the Republic became the Empire and the Clones carried out Order 66, Bo-Katan refused to follow Imperial orders. She was removed from the throne, leaving Gar Saxon, a former member of Maul's Shadow Collective, to become the Emperor's Viceroy on Mandalore. Several years later, as the Rebel Alliance began to develop into Star Wars Rebels, fellow Mandalorian Sabine Wren and her Ghost team arrived on Mandalore with the goal of installing a new rule. When her forces overthrew the Imperial Governor Tiber Saxon (who had inherited power from her late brother Gar), Bo-Katan was installed as their leader.

How does Bo-Katan Kryze know so much about the Jedi?
Mandalorians are instinctively suspicious of Jedi; in fact, they have fought many wars against them, which is why Bo-Katan was able to imprison (former Darth) Maul in a death-proof prison. force in season 7 of The Clone Wars. But he had many connections to the Order during the Clone Wars, and despite many skirmishes along the way, he trusted Ahsoka Tano enough to ask for her help in eliminating a "common enemy."
