Some of the third-party GPUs due to go on sale are already priced above the base €999 starting price for AMD's own model, though you'll get factory-overclocked performance there.
If these cards sell, be patient: don't rush to eBay to get one. AMD is apparently more dedicated to restocking inventory than Nvidia, so even if the RX 7900 XTX sells out completely in your region, you shouldn't have to wait long to get your hands on it.
