The Elder Scrolls Online Console Enhanced Edition will be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X on June 8, 2021 and can give us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming The Elder Scrolls 6. According to the ESO website, this enhanced edition allows the game to multiplayer online role-playing "to run natively on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, harnessing the power of next-generation console technology to dramatically improve visual fidelity and game performance on these machines.". This means gamers can expect a 60fps "performance mode", doubled draw distance, reduced load times, high-resolution textures, updated anti-aliasing, as well as improved reflections, lighting, and depth of field. Those who already own a PS4 and Xbox One version of The Elder Scrolls Online can upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X version for free, with the update available immediately to those who purchase the game.
