We finally know how big the Xbox Series X is, and it's huge

You should start making room in your entertainment center – photos of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S showed up in newsrooms today and they look huge. While the Xbox Series S appears to be a slightly sturdier version of the Xbox One X with a larger front panel and therefore doesn't take up too much space in its current setup, its bigger brother is another story at 15.1 inches. x 6 Inches x 12 Inches the Xbox Series X is a serious beast and easily twice the size of many other consoles. GameSpot was one of the selected outlets to receive a 'dummy' unit that didn't work for photos and stacked it on the PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One X. The results are... well, almost comical, as it has. GameSpot's Michael Higham demonstrated in several tweets:

I got my hands on the Xbox Series S and Series X prototypes...! Submitted by Microsoft These models are SLICK, especially the S series. I did size comparisons with the current generation, saw how they fit into my Ikea setup. yeah still a bit thick but you also need to make sure there is room on the right side (not like in this pic lol) because that's where the fan is pic.twitter.com/m9RnrLpYpm September 10, 2020

How much space do you need exactly?

Having current generation consoles alongside newer consoles is useful enough to figure out exactly how much space we'll need for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. For example, we can see from some of the photos that the Xbox Series S has almost exactly the same size. same size as the PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro looks a bit larger, but when it comes to the two new Xbox consoles, the Series S is 60% smaller than the Xbox Series X, according to Microsoft. The best comparison for the Xbox Series X is with the Nintendo Switch, oddly enough, since it appears that the width of both consoles (with Series X on its side) is roughly the same. Of course, the Series X is much thicker than the Nintendo Switch, and it has the top grill that needs to be taken into account. Good luck adapting it to your home entertainment center.
