Vodafone launches an unlimited offer of SIM data at half price ... but Three's is much better
Three has apparently ruled the unlimited data SIM card market with an iron fist for quite some time now, offering two options that were much cheaper than the rest of the competition. However, Vodafone has now stepped up to try to compete with its own promotion. Like Three, Vodafone is now offering its unlimited data SIM card at just half the price for the first six months of your contract. The only problem, the Vodafone version really isn't as good as the Three. Yes, both offer unlimited data at a discounted price of €11 per month, but with Vodafone's version, your speeds will be capped... hard. This price with Vodafone will leave you with a maximum download speed of 2MB, roughly enough for web browsing, email and Spotify. For truly unlimited data from Vodafone with no cap, the cost increases up to €30 per month. While this still includes six months at half the price, it's a lot more than you'd pay for Tres. Confusing isn't it? These fuzzy speed limits are something that Vodafone has faced advertising bans in the past, and unfortunately it's still not worth getting cheap prices for.
