Vivo V20 Pro Specs Revealed Ahead of Early December Launch in India

The Vivo V20 series takes the company's popular V series to the next level with more emphasis than ever on design and cameras. In December, the range will launch its most premium model in India – the Vivo V20 Pro. The Vivo V20 and V20 SE arrived in India in October and November respectively, at which time the company confirmed that the Vivo V20 Pro would not be far behind. Teasers for its release have already gone live, confirming that the release date is approaching. Current estimates point to early December as the deadline. At just 7,39mm thick, it will aim for the title of the thinnest 5G smartphone in its segment.

Vivo V20 Pro Specifications and Features

We don't have much left to guess as the Vivo V20 Pro is already available in other markets. Unless there are changes to the Indian variant, the following specs should hold true. It will sport the series' iconic 44MP Eye Autofocus selfie camera (Samsung ISOCELL GH1 image sensor) with an f/2.0 aperture, capable of focusing at distances of up to 15cm. This is paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens with a 105-degree field of view. Both are housed in a large notch at the top of the screen, which measures 6.44-inches and has Full HD+ resolution. This is an AMOLED panel that supports HDR10. On the back of the Vivo V20 Pro is a three-camera array with a 64MP f/1.8 sensor (Samsung ISOCELL GW1), an 8MP ultra-wide lens that doubles as a macro camera, and a mono sensor. Since this will be a creator-focused device, we hope there will be plenty of shooting modes available in the camera app. Other internal specs include Snapdragon 765G chipset with 5G, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Other configurations may be available in India. The battery averages 4000 mAh, but will support 33 W FlashCharge for quick top-ups. Since the Vivo V20 launched with Android 11 out of the box, the same can be expected for the V20 Pro. Otherwise, the update shouldn't be too far away. Notably, it's not listed to be eligible for Vivo's new Origin OS in the early waves. The Amazon listing only mentions the Sunset Melody and Midnight Jazz colorways, which could indicate that the white variant may not be available at launch. In Thailand, where the phone is already on sale, it is priced at THB 14.999, which is about Rs 35.000.
