Like it or not, Grand Theft Auto is a highly influential series. Its chaotic approach to sandbox design and twisted brand of social commentary has resonated with millions of gamers around the world, as well as game developers like Saints Row. And with Grand Theft Auto 5 continuing to outsell eight years after its original release, the series shows no signs of going away anytime soon. That said, it'll probably be a long time before we see any official details on GTA 6. But it looks like Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive might have something to help us out so far, in the form of a GTA trilogy. remaster, if we are to believe the comments of a famous leaker. The trilogy would compile remasters of Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, three of the most iconic titles in the series. Leaker Yan2295 tweeted in response to a question asking if they thought a GTA Trilogy remaster would see the light of day. Yan simply responded with a "yes" which was generally not newsworthy. However, given Yan's track record (Take-Two had previously asked Yan to stop divulging GTA Online details ahead of launch), there's more credibility here than what would otherwise be a flippant comment. Take-Two previously also confirmed that three top-tier remasters will be released in 2022, which doesn't absolutely confirm the existence of a Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remaster, but it's hard to think of a better option than three of the best of Rock star. It wouldn't be the first time that GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas have seen remasters on modern platforms, either. 2005 Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy saw a remaster on PS4, with improvements like 1080p resolution and PlayStation Trophy compatibility.
