Three's senior management restructuring continued with the appointment of Carlo Melis as network manager. He joins Italian operator Wind Tre, which is also owned by Three's parent company CK Hutchison. Melis spent 14 years at Wind before merging with Three Italia in 2016 and was responsible for the network integration between the two companies. Although he immediately focuses on keeping the Three UK network resilient during the coronavirus crisis, his main role will be to continue upgrading the operator's 4G infrastructure and rolling out its 5G service.

Buttsworth is also a relatively recent addition to Three's management team after leaving CK Hutchison Innovations Opportunities Development, while Elaine Carey was appointed Three Ireland's Chief Commercial Officer in March 2020. The biggest change, however, was the Dave Dyson's departure as CEO He was succeeded by Three Ireland CEO Robert Finnegan who is now responsible for the two countries as CK Hutchison looks to strengthen ties between the two.
