This lightning bolt-shaped Dolby Atmos soundbar could be a treat for tight spaces

LG unveiled its latest soundbar at CES 2021, and despite its small size, it comes with hugely impressive audio specs, including tweeters for Dolby Atmos, a wireless subwoofer, and support for DTS:X. The LG QP5 Lightning measures just 11,7 .2,3 inches by XNUMX inches (width x height), making it an ideal choice if you're short on space or just don't like the look of bars. It's traditional. As the name suggests, the new soundbar looks a bit snappy, with a compact frame and rounded edges. It's scheduled to launch in late June or early July and will initially only be available in white (although LG is apparently considering a black version, according to Tech Hive).

It's not yet clear how much the new soundbar will cost, but if LG can offer it competitively, it could be a great alternative to other small soundbars like the Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini. LG wouldn't have to underestimate its compact soundbar to pull it off; Definitive Technology's Dolby Atmos mini bar is expected to cost $899 (around £670 / AU$1,200) in the US when it launches later this month, which is more expensive than the best soundbar in the world. 2020. the Sonos Arc.
