XMG APEX 15 Laptop: € 1.958 in Bestware
(around € 2,130 / € 1,700 / AU € 3,300)
This laptop packs an absolute beast of a CPU; The 9-core AMD Ryzen 3950 16X will easily take on any task. It also has an Nvidia GForce RTX2060 and a 250GB SSD, making it an attractive proposition. With a base clock of 3.5 GHz and a staggering 73 MB cache, it's almost a miracle that this processor has a TDP (power dissipation) of 105 W. This is certainly an attractive prospect for professionals looking for an office alternative. German laptop vendor Schenker has integrated this beast of a processor into its latest XMG APEX 15 laptop, which is available for $1,958 from Bestware (about $2,130 / £1,700 / AU$3,300).

Non-EU Customers Unfortunately, Bestware does not ship worldwide, so non-European customers may have to use a specialized package transfer service if they want to take advantage of the deal. The Clevo source chassis comes with a 144Hz Full HD IPS display, an Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 with 6GB of GDDR6, 8GB of Kingston memory, a 2000GB Kingston A250 SSD, Bluetooth 5.0, and a two-year warranty, but no OS. 105W has a lot of power to dissipate, so the 3950X runs in eco mode, which drops the base speed, via the Ryzen Master software (and perhaps in the BIOS), to about three-quarters of its capacity, while consuming 44% less power. Have you found a better offer? Have you managed to get a cheaper product with equivalent specifications, in stock and new? Let us know and we'll have our hat for you. This raises another interesting question: would it be better to buy a cheaper 12 or 8 core processor that comes with a default 65W TDP? In any case, the XMG APEX 15 is quite the model, and we recommend you check it out for yourself.
