The Witcher season 2 photos provoke Ciri's fight

Netflix has released more images from The Witcher season 2, following the ab-tastic reveal of Henry Cavill's new adventure as Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix drama. These images focus on Princess Cirilla of Centra, better known as Ciri (Freya Allan), whom Geralt finally met at the end of season 1. In season 2, he will do everything possible to protect her from her. The footage doesn't give much away, but it does suggest that this is the season where we'll see less of Ciri running from people trying to kill her and more of fighting. Check out the Netflix teaser images below:

Assemble the characters

One of the main criticisms of The Witcher season 1 was how it depicted the passage of time. Episodes would jump from year to year without much context for the viewer other than the dialogue. In season 2, this is expected to be less of an issue as the series' three leads, Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer, will have their stories told simultaneously for the most part. An official login line released by Netflix offered some insight into what to expect in the upcoming season. "Convinced that Yennefer's life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia takes Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, her childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the kings, Elves, humans and demons of the As the continent strives for dominance outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses within.” We can't wait.
