The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE unboxing video is our closest look to the phone

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE unboxing video is our closest look to the phone

On the heels of a full user manual for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE leaking, it now appears that someone has gotten their hands on a retail model of the phone and put it in an unboxing video.

The video, on the HDblog YouTube channel, doesn't show much that we haven't seen before, because, well, pretty much everything on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has already been leaked, but this is our first clear video preview.

There are also some new details here, including the claim that this phone has three 12MP lenses on the back (a primary, ultra-wide, and 3x zoom telephoto lens), unlike previous leaks, which suggested that the telephoto was 8MP.

Also, the phone apparently runs Android 12 (where previous leaks had suggested Android 11), and is said to have a plastic back - not surprising, but a detail that hasn't been mentioned yet. The video further points out that the camera unit is also made of plastic, unlike the rest of the Samsung Galaxy S21 range where it is made of metal.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE also apparently weighs 177g, making it slightly lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE at 190g.

Other than that, that's pretty much everything we've heard before, including a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 5G, a 32-inch front camera. 4.500MP, a fingerprint on the screen. scanner and a 25mAh battery with 3,5W charging. There are also said to be stereo speakers, but no XNUMXmm headphone port.

While we certainly take all of this with a pinch of salt, especially the details that conflict with previous rumours, there are no red flags in the video itself so it could be 'a retail model of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE'. '.

Review: The S21 FE is the worst-kept smartphone secret

Details of never-before-seen smartphones leak regularly, especially when they get enough media coverage like the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, but it's rare for them to leak right now.

On its own, this unboxing video would be a major leak, but it follows the leak of a 167-page manual for the phone, along with plenty of renders (some of which appear to be official) and even details of the phone. price that Samsung Ireland accidentally published at the beginning.

Interestingly, this video actually raises more questions than it answers, given that the camera specs and Android version are slightly different from what we've heard before. But overall, we're pretty sure about almost every aspect of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE right now.

You may know all the official details in January if the leaks are correct, but if they're correct, you'll have heard it all before.
