Huawei Y8s specification leaked: 48MP main camera and more

The entry-level smartphones in the Huawei Y series are getting a much-awaited upgrade in the form of the Huawei Y8, the latest leaks have revealed. Of course, the question of how we miss the Huawei Y8 has not yet been resolved. The latest leak comes from famous tipster Evan Blass and data suggests the device looks more like a 2018 smartphone when the new trend is 'notched' design. The display has thin bezels all around, except for the large notch at the top. The leaks mainly reveal the alleged design and color palette, while the details of the processor used and the Android version are not yet available. The smartphone could house a fingerprint reader on the back of the device, while the material chosen for the back panel remains a mystery for now. The phone looks attractive with a glossy green back panel in a gradient finish. A power button and a volume rocker are located at the top right of the smartphone according to the disclosed image. However, the charging port type, 3.5mm audio port availability, and glass protection are not available at this time.

Notched display

The Y8s could sport a notch display with a 48MP main camera on the back, with the flash located just below the secondary camera sensor. The rear camera setup resembles the 2020 trend of placing the sensors in a rectangular array. What is the size of the lower telescope and chin? We cannot conclude by looking at the disclosed image, nor determine if USB Type-C charging is supported. There are no details on battery capacity and whether any form of fast charging is available via leaks. It is worth noting that Huawei recently launched the Huawei Nova 7 5G, 7 Pro 5G and Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G smartphones.
