The Samsung Galaxy S11 could have a huge 64MP camera

Newer phones almost always have better cameras. We've seen it with the Samsung Galaxy S10's impressive triple-camera network, but it looks like the unconfirmed camera on the Samsung Galaxy S11 could blow up its predecessors and the competition. In an article in its writing, Samsung today announced the creation of two new camera sensors designed for smartphones, one with a resolution of 48 MPa and the most popular. Another with an impressive 64MP resolution. Currently, the highest resolution camera you'll find in a smartphone is 48 MP, which is seen on phones like the Honor View 20 or Xiaomi Mi 9, although that's a number that traditional cameras exceed. However, if Samsung introduces its new sensor in future smartphones, your mobile device could take the highest quality images like a professional camera. Qualcomm recently admitted that its Snapdragon 855 chipset could support images up to 192 MPa, though the camera sensors still have several years to go before that figure.

What phones could the sensors have?

The next big Samsung smartphone we've heard about is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, but we plan to see it in the coming months. It may be too late for Samsung to add these sensors to the phone when it launches. After that, the most likely suspect for a 64MP sensor is the Samsung Galaxy S11 (or S20, if Samsung decides to go with the usual phone naming conventions), which we expected to see in February 2020. That said, we could see the sensors. In an unexpected phone: We know that Samsung is working on several foldable phones after the Samsung Galaxy Fold, and the company recently launched the Samsung Galaxy A80 with higher-end camera specs. So we got to see the 48MP and 64MP sensors in a wide range of products, though we still think the flagship Samsung Galaxy S is more likely. We'll probably know as soon as possible due to the competitive nature of the smartphone market, so stay tuned to TechRadar for the latest phone news and reviews.
