Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Poké Ball Case Might Be Rarer Than Shiny Pokemon

Samsung has created a Pokémon-themed case for the Galaxy Buds 2 wireless earbuds. The case takes on the appearance of a small Poké Ball that acts as a cover that wraps around the standard Galaxy Buds 2 charging case.

A special bundle is available on the South Korean tech giant's online store (thanks, Gizmodo) that includes a Poké Ball charging case, a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 wireless earphones, and a selection of Pokémon stickers with a lots of Gen 1 Pokémon like Pikachu, Lapras, Gengar and more.

Naturally, this adds some bulk to the charging case itself, and the Poké Ball's rounded shape will likely create a very noticeable bulge when you place it in your pocket. But if you're a Pokémon fanatic who plays Pokémon Go frequently, we can't think of a better accessory. Especially if you never run out of your music while traveling.

(*2*)A more elusive accessory

Good luck getting that nifty Poké Ball accessory though. Currently, it's only available on Samsung's South Korean store for 134 won (about €000 / £109 / AU$89). As mentioned, the package includes the case, buttons, and a selection of stickers.

Unfortunately, the case cannot be purchased separately for a lower price, which is a shame given that the case is also compatible with Samsung Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro. As a result, first-time Galaxy Buds buyers (or buyers looking for a replacement pair) get the most out of this set of Poké Ball cases.

However, at the time of this writing, the batch already appears to be out of stock. The Poké Ball case was undoubtedly in high demand among South Korean Pokémon fans. At this point, we can only hope that the pack hits the west so that Pokemon fans everywhere have a chance to purchase this admittedly cool accessory set.

We'd love that, especially since Pokemon as a franchise is firing on all cylinders this year. Pokémon Go is not only proving to be very popular, but Pokémon Legends Arceus, released for the Nintendo Switch in January, provided the franchise with a much-needed breath of fresh air with an exploration-based semi-open format.

Additionally, the next installments in the main series, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, are slated for release in late 2022. They'll bring a Spanish-inspired setting and ninth-generation Pokémon to the franchise, and we're certainly looking forward to seeing it. play them by ourselves.
