The RTX 2070 Super
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super has similar improvements to the RTX 2060 Super. It also has four streaming multiprocessors, an additional 256 CUDA cores, and an increase in clock speed. The new base clock is 1,605 MHz, which is slightly less than the original 2070 RTU boost clock of 1,620 MHz. The new boost clock goes even further, reaching 1,770 MHz. This helps achieve 9.1 TFLOPs for the floating point performance. Unlike the RTX 2060 Super, the Super 2070 does not bring any improvements to VRAM. However, Nvidia claims that the RTX 2070 Super is 16% faster than the original RTX 2070 at 1440p. Both graphics cards will also see performance improvements with RTX enabled. Nvidia typically showed them an additional 5-10 FPS boost in 1080p gaming with the RT Ultra and DLSS settings enabled. All of this extra performance comes at the expense of power consumption, with the 2060-watt Nvidia GeForce RTX 175 Super and 2070-watt RTX 215 Super. The RTX 2060 Super will start at $399 (about $315, AU$580), and the RTX 2070 will set you back $499 (about $395, AU720), with both hitting the streets on July 9. The upcoming RTX 2080 Super will launch later on July 23 at €699 (roughly $520, AU$1,010).
