Super Smash Bros Ultimate will receive several Minecraft fighters as part of its upcoming Fighter Pass DLC. The Minecraft fighter can be replaced so players can choose between Steve, Alex, Zombie, or Enderman, giving fans of the series more Minecraft characters than they might have expected. Minecraft is obviously extremely popular and one of the best selling games of all time. While Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai had initial reservations about adding Minecraft characters to Super Smash Bros Ultimate, he somehow managed to make it work. Sakurai admitted that balancing the fighter and adding the characters' unique base abilities was challenging and that he will certainly be an unusual entrant for the series. Sakurai has promised to go into more detail about how Minecraft Steve and Minecraft Alex work on October 3 at 7:30am PT / 10:30am ET / 3:30pm BST, which will take place just before Minecraft Live.
