The next great Netflix movie to add to your watchlist is this great western.

Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for The Harder They Fall, a star-studded western. He makes an extremely cool first impression and is well worth keeping on your radar for the second half of this year. Learning his enemy is free, Nat Love (Jonathan Majors, best known for HBO's Lovecraft Country) rallies his own allies (including characters played by Zazie Beetz, RJ Cyler, and Edi Gathegi) to hunt down Rufus for revenge. Director Jeymes Samuel is the creator of the film, which Netflix describes as a "proper new school" western, with a script co-written with veteran Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans). Jay-Z is one of the producers of the film. Other cast members include Delroy Lindo, who gave an Oscar-worthy performance in Da 5 Bloods last year, and Damon Wayans Jr. Here's the trailer: The Harder They Fall is scheduled for a later 2021 release on Netflix , specifically "Fall", that is, between September and December. There will also be a small theatrical release.

Analysis: Great Netflix Movies Don't Give Up

Even if theaters do eventually reopen to the world, Netflix's place in the movie landscape isn't going to change anytime soon. If anything, this is the biggest year for movies of all time, with at least one new original every week. There are some movies that stand out from the rest. Check... check... BOOM! is a musical starring Andrew Garfield, directed by Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is about a songwriter trying to make it in New York City. At the same time, Red Notice is an action movie starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds about art theft, which seems to have cost a fortune. And then there's the big Oscar nominee of the year: Don't Look Up, about two astronomers trying to convince the world that a comet is coming to destroy the planet. It stars Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, along with an important cast: Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, and Chris Evans are among them. Vice and The Big Short director Adam McKay is behind this one. Plenty to stream this year, though you can finally go see movies in an actual theater.
