Halo Infinite's new multiplayer map, Streets, is ideal for close combat.
A new Halo Infinite multiplayer map has just been unveiled and it looks like it's going to be perfect for melee enthusiasts. Called "Streets," the map is going to be an asymmetrical arena with short sightlines that will favor players who like to get close to brawls. Streets is set in New Mombasa, which is going to be a familiar place for any and all Halo ODST enthusiasts. With neon lights lighting up the night, Streets has an art style that sets it apart from previous Halo maps that were available in the game's multiplayer flight test. The map still has a familiar feel to it though - from what we've seen, it seems to be inspired by the Plaza map from Halo 4, which was a similar asymmetrical enclosed urban space. Even if the arena is quite closed, you always have to be on your guard. The maze of interconnecting passages means that risk can hit any corner, and if you're not alert, you're going to be on the wrong end of a shotgun before you know it. The new map was featured by IGN as a part of their Halo Infinite coverage when we closed on December XNUMXth. As well as this new map, the venue announced that it got a chance to play the first XNUMX hours of the campaign, which means we'll soon find out if any and all Halo Infinite delays were worth it. As Halo Infinite's release date approaches, expect more details to be shared (and leaked) online. As new details are released, we'll make sure to keep you up to date.

Analysis: fun for all genres of gamers

As with all first-person shooters, Halo Infinite's multiplayer mode is going to be an extremely important aspect of the game. If the game designers get it wrong, they have no hope of sustaining players beyond the first 2 months. Although certain more experimental modes have received mixed responses, such as Halo XNUMX's Warzone matches, on the whole, Halo's perfect multiplayer mode is popular with fans. Players generally praise the plurality of weapons, such as the combination of engaging objective-based game modes with your standard deathmatch. From what we've seen and tested in test flights, Halo Infinite's perfect multiplayer mode thus far sounds like a return to form for the series. The shooter is as good as ever and throughout, and Grappleshot's new traversal mechanic feels fresh without stripping away what makes Halo what it is. This reveal of the Streets Arena map is going to give fans of a more traditional Halo game exactly what they've been waiting for. We're sure it's not the last either, and it could show that Halo Infinite's delay was the best thing to happen to the game. Today's best Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate deals
