New fake Samsung Galaxy S22 leak shows us all three phones together

Samsung Galaxy S22 leaks are now pouring in in droves and fast, with the latest showing us dummy units of all three devices, also giving us an idea of how these phones will likely stack up against each other.

The images below are dummy units supplied by UK accessory retailer Mobile Fun to GSMArena.

Each shows a very similar design to what we'd expect based on other leaks, with the Galaxy S22 sporting a 6.06-inch screen, the Galaxy S22 Plus sporting a 6.55-inch screen, and the Galaxy S22. Ultra with a 6.8-inch screen.

There is no guarantee that this will be the exact design of future smartphones, but it is believed that case manufacturers use these fictitious devices to design the correct forms for third-party protection.

As seen in previous leaks, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a very different design from the Galaxy S21 Ultra and its other Galaxy S22 counterparts. It has less rounded corners and room for an S Pen, with a look that it shares more with the Galaxy Note 20 series.

You can see from the dummy units image below that the design is about to change a lot compared to the Galaxy S21 Ultra (right). The S22 Ultra (left) appears taller, and the lack of rounded corners can make this device more difficult to hold.

Mobile Fun has also included the S Pen accessory for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It comes in four colors, depending on the retailer, which are black, white, green, and dark red.

Yesterday we also saw a poster leak for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra showing a black S Pen with a red tip to match the color of the phone itself.

Opinion: Could we lose what made the S21 Ultra great?

Samsung Galaxy Note fans will probably rejoice that their favorite phones are back with a completely new name. Instead, I'm a little worried that we're about to lose what made the Galaxy S21 Ultra great.

The design of the Galaxy Note series was unique. Its large and frankly cheeky design made it difficult to hold at times. Those who love Galaxy Note phones and the S Pen experience particularly enjoyed this design, but the Galaxy S21 Ultra found a happy medium between that and the traditionally easier-to-hold S series.

With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung has brought many features that have made the Galaxy Note series a more acceptable form factor for the average person.

Going back to a more Note-like look and feel may mean we're losing some of the things that allowed the Galaxy S21 Ultra to stand out and finally take the top spot for TechRadar's best smartphones of 2021.

I'll reserve judgment until I can try this phone out for myself, but for now I'm a little nervous we'll miss out on what made one of the best smartphone surprises of 2021 unique.
