Origin PC has quietly unveiled a new laptop, the EON15-X, powered by AMD's Ryzen 9 3900 processor; a 12GHz 3,1-core desktop processor with 24 threads, a 65W TDP, and a 3MB L64 cache. It's not as expensive as you think, it's just € 1,828 (around € 1,450 / AU € 2,860) with a € 100 cash back at checkout.

It's the first time a 12-core processor has found its place in a laptop of this size. At just 1.2 inches thin and weighing less than six pounds, this laptop is nothing but portable, and overclocking is covered under the Starter Warranty. Its processor is the fastest on the market with a TDP of less than 100 W, much more powerful than even the Ryzen 7 4800HS. Anything more powerful can give too little range or excessive throttling due to heat dissipation. For example, Intel has the Core i9-10980XE, which is about 10% more powerful than the 3900 (based on the popular CPUBenchmark test) but its 18 cores generate up to 165W of heat, 150% more than AMD Processor. At this price, the laptop comes with a Full HD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 2060GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 6 GDDR6 Max-P GPU, 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz memory (dual channel), a Corsair Force MP510 240GB SSD, Windows 10 Home plus a free T-shirt or mouse pad. Note that this is the only laptop we know of that comes with a free overclocking option backed by a manufacturer's warranty, an extremely desirable perk.
