The Mandalorian season 3 release date has been pushed back, but not by much

The Mandalorian season 3 has finally been given a concrete release date on Disney Plus, and it's only a bit later than expected.

The Star Wars television program will be back on March 1, 2023, con su estreno originally scheduled for February. The official Season 3 release date was revealed at Brazil Comic-Con alongside new set footage and an extended version of the previously released trailer, which is said to show Grogu using the Force (opens in a new pestaña).

The Mandalorian season 3 will pick up directly after the events of The Book of Boba Fett, but if you don't want to be ruined by those events, we suggest you get away from that page faster than the Millennium Falcon in hyperspace.

Based on the first trailer for the upcoming season (below), we know that the new episodes of the series starring Pedro Pascal will find Mando and Grogu reunited but more alone than ever.

(*3*)Full plot spoilers for season 3 of The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian follow.

After parting ways at the end of The Mandalorian season 2, the pair reunited in The Book of Boba Fett episode 5, when Grogu decided to abandon his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker to travel the galaxy with his heavily armed partner. .

So, in The Mandalorian season 3, it's going to be like the good old days for Mando and Grogu, except it won't be. The former removed his helmet in The Book of Boba Fett, and in doing so severed all remaining ties to the Mandalorian brotherhood from him. The main boss Bo-Katan is next in his case, and we hope that this tension will form the narrative axis of the new season.

There are several additional plot threads that The Mandalorian season 3 could tie together as well, including those involving the ever-mysterious Darksaber and the Empire's shady use of Grogu's magical blood. We know our little green friend will be using even more Force-based powers in the new episodes of the series, so we're excited to see just how powerful he's become.

"This kid has magical powers, he's 50 years old and he can see the future," Giancarlo Esposito (who plays the villainous Moff Gideon) told a young fan at GalaxyCon (via SlashFilm (opens in a new tab)), "and We want everyone to know, possibly on this show, it could save our universe."

In other words, we expect events to level up in The Mandalorian Season 3. We hope the series can maintain its winning formula and continue the streak of success established by its new Star Wars brother, Andor, whom we profile. in our review as "possibly the best Star Wars show yet" (making it, by extension, one of the best Disney Plus TV shows we've seen so far).

Here's one last time for that all-important release date news: The Mandalorian Season 3 lands on Disney Plus on March 1, 2023.
