When LG announced the GX Soundbar accessory for its Gallery Series OLED TV, it was hard not to be put off by the price, and we're not too surprised to see LG giving you such a discount. The GX Soundbar will now only cost $500 when purchased alongside the Gallery Series OLED, instead of the original $999 RRP. As a 3.1-channel soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, it's a Good companion to OLED's meager 20W speakers, though not value for money. until now. The promotion runs until August 18 in the UK, and if you're reading from the US, the GX soundbar is now just £899 instead of £999, but it's not as tempting to 'save than this package. UK buyers will also receive a pair of wireless earphones, the TONE Free, which will sweeten the deal even further - if they buy before August 11, that is. These headphones offer 18 hours of battery life and a UV light charging case to clean the buds when not in use.
OLEDs are expensive
The LG Gallery Series OLED is already an expensive TV, though it's still just a fraction of the price of its higher-end sibling, the OLED WX, which is attached to a high-end soundbar. Buying a GX OLED and GX soundbar is certainly a cheaper solution, especially after the latest price drop. If you're also looking for a new pair of headphones, saving $149 on TONE Free won't mean much of a cut on your spending on a new OLED TV, but it's still a better deal than buying all the gadgets separately.
