IQoo 8 and iQoo 8 Legend India Launch Could Be Compromised - Here's Why

From July, when we learned that the iQoo 8 was becoming the first smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, to the most recent reports of the launch of the iQoo 8 Legend in India, we covered the whole stretch. However, now it turns out that the two planes are finally unable to land on our shores.

An insider took to Twitter to suggest that the launch event for these two devices in India could be canceled. The company launched its latest flagship series in China in mid-August and since then, leaks and rumors have swirled and multiplied about its imminent launch in India.

Could it be the chipset shortage?

Debayan Roy, who goes by the name GadgetsData on Twitter, left a cryptic message saying that the launch of the iQoo 8 series in India has been canceled. To a question from another user about the Rs. 2000 coupon on iQoo 7 to clean the iQoo 8 series shelf in India, the iQoo India Twitter account said it sent a direct message response. Of course, we reach out to the company for answers.

In fact, the vanilla iQOO 8 with the model number V2136 was listed in the BIS authority database and a BIS certification is a good indication that its launch in India may not be far behind.

Since we have not yet received a confirmation from the company, we will assume the information is genuine. And there was no additional informant information on this account. Which leads us to assume that the global shortage of chipsets could have caused the brand, owned by China's BBK Electronics, to postpone the launch in India.

However, the challenge for the customer now is to wait for clarification from iQoo or simply extend the waiting period and buy the iQoo 9 series, which would be the direct successor to the iQoo 8.
