Amazon just released its own DVR (digital video recorder) for recording live content for free and viewing through an Amazon Fire TV or Echo Show device (so you'll need that too). There's no subscription fee here, making it an attractive option for all your cord-cutters. With a capacity of 500 GB in the cheapest model, it has about 65 hours of storage, so there is no need to choose an external drive. to record content, which is problematic with some DVRs.
