TCL will launch its first foldable phone in 2020, but it gave us a preview of a concept device in October 2019 to whet our appetite and give us an idea of what the company is planning.
The foldable phone we use is unlikely to exactly match the phone we'll see launch next year. It could even be bent differently. This shows that TCL is getting closer to the final product.
In February at MWC 2019, we saw some of TCL's folding designs hidden behind glass, but they weren't quite ready to be dealt with. Seven months later, here is the foldable phone concept from TCL & apos; within our reach.

TCL flip phone date and price
This is a concept phone; therefore, there is currently no definitive release date or price for the device. In fact, the phone that we handle was not put on sale, it is an updated version of what we saw.
We know that TCL will launch its first foldable phone in 2020 and it will be cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X, which are around € 2,000.
This is not to say that TCL's foldable phone is cheap, it will be affordable in context compared to current market offerings.
TCL folding phone concept and display
The TCL foldable concept is a functional smartphone, but it's not perfect. Close the headset completely and it shuts down (but it can be easily turned back on) and the interface is a bit slow under your finger.
However, there is nothing to worry about. This is the starting point of the concept, testing the hardware and software and finding solutions before releasing a version intended for the general public.
TCL is very open in its plans for its foldable device. You have no desire to be & apos; first & apos; in the market and takes time to make sure everything works properly, as well as learning from those who launched it to avoid mistakes by competitors.
Known issues with the Samsung Galaxy Fold have prompted TCL to back off and conduct more research, development, and testing in hopes of avoiding similar glitches.
Obviously there is still a lot to do, but we have been impressed with the progress made so far. The butterfly hinge on your flip phone is sturdy and moves easily. The bezels around the flexible screen are slim and there are four cameras on the back, offering a wide range of shooting options.
The screen is bright and clear, although this does not appear to be higher than a Full HD resolution (we have not yet given specific specifications for this particular camera).
Open it fully and there is a slight crease in the center of the screen where it bends; You must wait, but it may hurt a bit what is displayed.

TCL is making great strides in the foldable phone market. The significant improvements to this concept compared to the MWC are clear and the launch is planned for 2020.
It will be interesting to see how much you can cut costs for today's phone carriers and what design and features you will choose.
We are informed that we will learn more about their foldable phone offering at CES 2020 in January or MWC 2020 in February. In short, don't expect too much.
