(Image Credit: Warner Bros) As part of DC FanDome on August 22, 2020, Rocksteady debuted the first trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It opens with a look at what appears to be the lair of the supervillain Brainiac, before confirming the game's location as Metropolis. In the panorama, we discover Harley Quinn, followed by her companions from Task Force X: Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark. The instigator of the Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller, speaks to Quinn through comms telling them to head to the Metropolis Grand Hotel as "target alpha" is now open and she must participate. After a montage where the group takes on hordes of Brainiac's army, in OutKast's BOB Bombs Over Baghdad, they become a roof. Quinn then tries to remember who they should watch out for, until he is suddenly interrupted by a helicopter explosive. As the smoke clears, it appears that Superman rescued the helicopter pilot, only to decimate the humans moments later via thermal vision, then apparently under Brainiac's control. The group quickly realizes that the Man of Steel is their "alpha target," and the trailer ends with a boomerang comically bashing Superman in the head, with Captain Boomerang saying, "You wouldn't have to do that." , shark ". Suicide Squad: Kill Justice League News and Rumors

History
Details of the campaign are limited at this time, except that it is known to be an "original story" set in the DC Universe and a continuation of the Batman: Arkham-verse. Planted with deadly explosives in their heads, the story follows the Suicide Squad as they seek to save Earth and kill the world's greatest DC superheroes, The Justice League. Superman is the only member shown so far, but we're pretty safe to say Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Batman, and more will be appearing everywhere. The latter will be an interesting puzzle, given the ending of Batman: Arkham Knight. Various rumors suggest that The Dark Knight could be working alongside the Suicide Squad in their attempts to thwart the mind-controlled Justice League. During the DC FanDome panel, Rocksteady Creative Director Sefton Hill spoke about the narrative ties that will continue from the Arkham series, stating that: "a lot of threads and stories that you will see come to fruition in this game." . Open world
Metropolis itself will serve as the open world in Rocksteady's Suicide Squad. The city is best known as the home of Superman, drawing inspiration from Toronto and New York, while also being a neighbor to Gotham. Hill described Metropolis as the game's "fifth character" and hopes it will serve as a "love letter to DC fans."

(Image credit: Warner Bros) Voice Actors
So far, two of the four Suicide Squad members have been confirmed, with Harley Quinn actress Tara Strong reprising the role once more. Meanwhile, King Shark will be played by WWE Nuufolau wrestler Joel Seanoa aka Samoa Joe. While there's no official word on Captain Boomerang's voice, Chris Parson is rumored to have been given the role. He previously voiced Junkrat in Overwatch and there's a strong resemblance hearing the two. Deadshot is a bit harder to pin down. Chris Cox previously voiced the unique wonder in Arkham City and Arkham Origins, both set in the same universe. This Deadshot has also been confirmed to be Floyd Lawton's interpretation of the character, however there's one major flaw that Cox doesn't seem to be returning for. For one, the audio clip looks nothing like the version of him, and two, most damningly, this Deadshot is black, unlike the white version Cox described. Therefore, without an established voice immediately jumping out to people, many believe this can be a relief. However, King Shark was killed in the live video assault on Arkham, so the question of what 'canon' really is remains open. The last unconfirmed role we hear about in the trailer (Superman Doesn't Speak) is Amanda Wallace. CCH Pounder voiced the head of the Suicide Squad in Arkham Origins, Arkham Origins Blackgate and Assault on Arkham, therefore there's no way he's coming back again / Lego Batman star Will Arnett (who hosted the DC Fandome panel) too he asked if he could appear in-game as an NPC, to which Hill replied that "I think maybe we can make a thing work." Something that would definitely make a cool Easter egg. TechRadar has contacted Warner Bros. for confirmation of the voice actors, however the company declined to comment at this time.
