StarCraft II Celebrates its XNUMXth Anniversary with Highly Demand Features for RTS
StarCraft II celebrates a decade of its existence by releasing a new patch in testing that includes a number of features that players have requested. Yes, this is the 5.0th anniversary of the classic RTS game, and in honor of that, Blizzard has released patch 4.13 to the public test domain (although some of these changes were introduced with patch 14 to the test domain). , released on July XNUMX). Some of the biggest improvements were made to the StarCraft II map editor to make it more user-friendly, following feedback from players that it wasn't user-friendly enough. Blizzard notes that elements of the Warcraft III editor were needed to improve upon the StarCraft II effort in terms of simplification and ease of work, without sacrificing the functionality of the existing StarCraft II editor. This is because more features have been added to the map editor as appropriate.

Personalized campaigns in cooperation.

Players will now be able to create custom campaigns more easily, and will now support card-to-card loading and co-op functionality (instead of just single player). StarCraft II has also seen the introduction of a ton of new achievements for each mission in its campaigns (not just Wings of Liberty, but also Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and Nova Covert Ops). Additionally, Prestige Talents have been carried over to Co-op Commanders, with three available for each Commander (however, only one can be equipped at a time, and this includes giving Dehaka a brother). As you'd expect, there's also a stack of bug fixes. Check out the full list of changes here, and there's also a detailed overview of the details regarding specific map editor tweaks and improvements.
