Star Wars and Dragon Age top Xbox Game Pass titles this month

Microsoft revealed the next list of games on Xbox Game Pass this month, and there are some gems in the lineup.

Sports games Cricket 22 and MLB The Show 22 are now available on Xbox Game Pass, soon to be joined by an eclectic mix. Action RPG addicts can dive into one of BioWare's best releases with Dragon Age 2, Star Wars buffs and flight sim fans have Star Wars: Squadrons to keep them happy, and Panzer Corps 2. will please all strategy war gamers.

Life Is Strange: True Colors is for fans of emotional adventures, while The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk, Lost In Random and Chinatown Detective Agency are independent selections. Add to that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and you also have another four-player co-op option.

It's a pretty impressive lineup and comes on the back of a stellar march that saw F1 2021, Weird West and Crusader Kings 3 added to the platform.

Microsoft will have to continue to ride the good times now that Sony has introduced its Xbox Game Pass competitor: the revamped PS Plus. Launched in June, the new highest subscription tier of PS Plus will offer subscribers more than 700 games to download on demand, including retro titles from the PS1, PS2 and PS3 eras, as well as a cloud streaming service that can be used on your PS5, PS4, or a rusty old PC.

A 12-month subscription to the top tier of the new PS Plus will be cheaper than an annual subscription to Xbox Game Pass, and Sony will rely on that affordability to entice gamers to the platform, along with the nostalgic temptation to play the game. Classic PlayStation. childhood games

But the new service won't match Microsoft's in one key area: day one builds. Sony has made it clear that its new first-party games will not be available on the same day as their release. Easy access to the latest triple-A titles from Xbox Studios has been part of the success of Xbox Game Pass, with subscribers jumping on games like Halo Infinite as soon as they hit stores.
