Square is ready to offer a paid tier of its online billing service as well as its current free model. Called Invoices Plus, the new offering will include a number of new features, including some that have been tested in the free version. As TechCrunch reported, the service has already been stealthily rolled out for certain users, and certain users have been notified of upcoming changes via email, despite an official announcement that has yet to be made. The announcement, which has since made its way to the Square seller community discussion forum, states that multi-bulk estimates, custom invoice templates, and custom invoice fields are going to be a part of Invoices Plus, as they have been tested. previously in the free version. New auxiliary features include the ability to automatically transform accepted estimates into invoices and the ability to create milestone-based schedules. Square Invoices will have a "test" button next to these features, to more clearly communicate changes to users. The free version will continue leaving unlimited billing, quotes and contracts. Users will also retain invoice tracking, reminders, and reporting tools.
